For affiliate marketers, Cyber Monday is arguably the most productive and anticipated marketing day of the year. If you’re involved on any level with the AvantLink network, you no doubt seen the hype around the day from our Holiday Strategy webinars, development of merchant seasonal/holiday dealsheets, and the fantastic sales and promotions from merchants across the board.

As the relatively new online counterpart of the longstanding and always successful Black Friday, Cyber Monday has become a an established yearly event and grown in leaps and bounds year over year. 2012 was no certainly no exception, and with the day now in the history books the usual flood of “after-Monday-analysis” explaining just how much everything grew this year has come rushing in.

Below is an infographic from IBM that showed not only the year over year increase in overall online spending for Cyber Monday 2012, but also the increase in usage from mobile devices, which now make up a very significant chunk of online purchases.
