[...] We’ve posted time and again about the value of PRWeb in terms of news/content distribution around the web. We were happy to see that the GourmetStation Affiliate program recently posted an article on the new partnership between their leading food gift store and our network. As a reminder, there are several distribution companies that will allow you syndicate your news for a range of fees. The more you pay, the more you get. We use the $200 level at PRWeb, which allows you to add targeted link anchors within the article context. With the evolving semantic nature of search, these are high-value backlinks well worth the $200! Check out the Effective Advertising category at AbestWeb…specifically, a thread called Press Releases and Your Site, that’s been sticked there for quite some time. And rightly so! This thread is jam packed with valuable information on press release options and best practices. [...]

[...] Just a quick post to mention that Revenue added the “Press Releases and Your Site” article I wrote today to their site. It was originally featured in the May 2007 PDF Newsletter, but just an hour ago it was also added to the Affiliate Marketing Tips section of RevenueToday.com. I posted this article back on May 7th on our blog, but it looks much better there! In the “old days” of the Web, you published articles and waited for search engines to come and index your pages. Nowadays powerful syndication techniques will bring your content to readers, search engines and respected news sources. One of the most effective ways to syndicate site content is through online press release distribution services. [...]

This is wonderful advice, and I especially like your thoughts on spending the extra bucks for embedded links. PPC expenses add up, and we shouldn't let the expense of press release distributions stop us because it comes in chunks of $200 - all at once. It is well worth the money.
